Scena CastleYou will be amazed by the extraordinary beauty and the majesty of Scena Castle. It was constructed in approximately 1350 and was bought by Archduke Giovanni d’Austria in 1845, who used to love this area. The Archduke then transferred the castle to the Counts of Merano, who have owned it up to date. At the inside of the castle you can admire a vast collection of ancient arms and beautiful rooms in Renaissance style with many precious paintings. |

Juval CastleOf particular interest is without doubt a visit to the Juval Castle. Typewriter MuseumYou should also pencil in a visit to the Typewriter Museum in Parcines, which is dedicated to the inventor of typewriters, Peter Mitterhofer, a carpenter who was born in Parcines. Inside the museum you can admire about 1,200 models. However, 900 of the models are kept in an archive, which can only be visited upon request. The typewriters in the museum date back to a time period between 1864 (year of invention) to about 1980. The museum gives visitors an insight into the development of this important object during the course of a century. |
